False Sexual Abuse Charges Regarding 4 yr old child with yeast infection?

Yesterday my 4 yr old daughter woke up with what appears to be a yeast infection. Other than complaining that her private area hurt the day before %26amp; running fever 2 days prior, she has otherwise been in seemingly perfect health. Immediately I got online %26amp; researched the probable causes %26amp; found bubble baths, improper wiping (she wipes herself if she just pees, I do the bottom), allergies to certain soaps or even milk to be likely causes. They also mentioned sexual abuse, which I quickly discounted. So today my MIL takes her to the doctor, who then proceeds to say that if a 4 yr old has a yeast infection its because shes being molested %26amp; he refused to treat her. My MIL did notice him writing alot of things down %26amp; says he even followed her to her car to get her tags. Obviously this doc has to report this. I KNOW something else is causing this %26amp; we are going to another doc 2morrow for another opinion. So my question is how can I prove that this doctor is overreacting %26amp; we're good parents?False Sexual Abuse Charges Regarding 4 yr old child with yeast infection?
I would definitely take her to another doctor. There are several things that can cause yeast infections in young children. Was the doctor that your MIL took her to your daughter's regular pediatrician?

While it is probably not molestation, I have to say that the majority of children that are sexually abused are the victims of people they know. Of course you would not have her around people that you think would molest her, but no parent would! Yet, a large percentage of children are molested by people they know-because the parents would never have imagined. I just had to correct that train of thought, not just for your benefit but for anyone else reading this.False Sexual Abuse Charges Regarding 4 yr old child with yeast infection?
Wow is all I can say! Don't worry about the ';doctor'; reporting you and your family. CPS I'm sure knows that yeast infections are common in little children as they still occasionally wet the bed and sit in urine for long periods of time. Any good pediatrician will back that up. Was there anything else that would have made this doctor say such a thing?
i know your child is only 4 but have you ask her you might be surprise at how much she does know and i agree get another opinion this doc sounds like he has rocks in his head i wish you all the luck my heart goes out to you and your husband
I second Broxawl (BraxOl??). Anywho, everything she said was spot on.
holy **** that is a bad situation to be in. Im really speechless. Im sorry i have no idea how i could help you.
WOW. That's nuts.

Did the doctor even test to see if it WAS a yeast infection? I can't even imagine a doctor jumping to that conclusion without further examination.

There is nothing you can do to prove that the doctor is overreacting. Go to a second doctor. And just be cooperative.
First off, you're a good mommy...she's probably fine.

Did MIL take her to a quack-in-the-box (big care station) as i like to call them? Or a family PD?

Second, I got an infection from Mr. Bubble when I was about 4 as well.

Finallly, has she been on any antibotics?

Antibotics and vaginas dont work well together...even at 4. The vaginal cavaty is pretty much an open area, is loaded with tons of germs that bacteria kills. Antibotics kill all the good bateria from down there....even at 4.
Well, really the only way to prove that she isn't molested is to give her a vaginal exam. That sounds harsh for a four year old to go through. But if her hymen is intact and not stretched or bruised, she has not be molested. Also, I'd call DSS and make them aware of the situation. This doctor does have an obligation to report signs of sexual abuse, however, he has an obligation to treat his patients and he knows good and well, that molestation is not the only thing that causes yeast infections in a child. For goodness sakes there is a type of diaper cream formulated for yeast infections in infants and children!
ok all you can do is to go to the doc and get the meds need for your child and if something does come of this with the implaction then you will have to deal with it in a proper manner has your child ever had a Yeast Infection B4 and do you have documentation of it. and even if you do wipe your child when your child poop it could still have a little feces still on your childs behind and it only take a little over a long time to cause a yeast infection i learned this the hard way unless you wash the behind every time after your child poops and also heat can be a factor and tight under pants or under pants that or not made of cotton, antibiotic's can also cause this to happen. and when your suspect your child is getting a yeast infection you should feed your child a yogurt product and this should take it a way in about a day or two and anyway if you do take your child to the doc he will just give you a cream to put on your child (Nystatin cream this is just a topical cream which means that it does not go in the body just on the outside area. ) which is a stronger form of womans yeast cream or athletes foot cream that you can get at any over counter drug store but for a child i would strongly go with the yogurt first. about 2-3 severing a day for about a week with the woman yeast cream applied like a diaper rash cream to your childs behind and then if it has not gone then i would take your child to the hospital and about the impactions that the doc made i would sue for false allegations and mulish gossip and what ever else you can charge them with. just do a search on yeast infections
