If someone filed a false cps report against you and you wanted to press charges what would happen legally?

such as probation?fines?jailtime ect...........If someone filed a false cps report against you and you wanted to press charges what would happen legally?
You'd have to prove it was them that made the claim, that the claim was false, that they KNEW it was false, and that their intent was to cause harm to you (rather than safety for the children)

Since CPS does not normally release the names of where they got the report, you're stopped at point 1.

Besides, making a report does not cause the damage. The damage occurs when CPS investigates and takes action. As long as the report did not include sworn statements which were false (such as : ';I saw her hit the child with a bat';), the report itself is not the source of the damage (if any).
