The Catholic Church??? In all fairness a simple search on the internet would tell you what Catholics believe,but it seems many of you go and get your info from a web site that is on the FBI's hate list Chic publications,in which i've read some of their claims and have yet to have read one truthful article.Why are people who profess to be Christians and obeying GOD's word so willing to make false Charges against ?
Jesus only founded one Church, he made St. Peter its head. Find that Church and you have the one and only valid Church. All the rest are bogus, man-made sects and cults.





The Catholic Church was founded in the year 33 by Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Apostle Peter was its first Bishop of Rome.

I agree with you. The things said about Catholics are outrageous. How could they profess to know more about our faith than we do? And they judge us to boot!





The Catholic Church is the original Christian religion, straight by Christ with St. Peter as the first pope. There are over one billion Catholics world-wide. So perhaps we shouldn't concern ourselves with the few who insist on preaching lies about us. It's probably better for them to get a life but if they want to spend their time and energy projecting lies, that's their unfortunate business.

In all honesty, do you believe that furthering the divide between Catholic Christians and Protestant Christians ultimately reflects better on EITHER party? If nothing else, it only serves to provide fuel to those who claim no belief at all as they merely point to the backbiting of BOTH parties.





Shouldn't we be celebrating our common ground, that Jesus Christ is Lord?

Edit: I think people aready see that without us calling further attention to it. In reading some of your questions, your, for lack of a better term, ';anger'; at their actions is evident (accusing them of name calling and yet you call them ';fundies'; which I can't imagine you mean as an endearing term) and there exists a whole host of people, atheists and people of other faith, who frequent this site who are already aware of the animosity between Catholic Christians and Protestant Christians. I just don't don't think that questions of this nature serve any purpose to further the Kingdom. I also don't think that the actions of the Christians who bash Catholicism does anything to further the Kingdom either.
The problem is that Catholics believe what they are told by priests, etc, instead of by what God says.


Even the Church, itself, admits it has changed Biblical facts in order to suit its own agenda which, sadly, is very much based on paganism, like it or not.


Furthermore, the Bible emphatically describes the Catholic system as that of the anti-christ - the 'beast' of Revelation 13:1, in fact - so why would anyone want to be part of it when its fate is already judged and sealed by the Word of God?


';...Wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and many there be that go in thereat'; (Matthew 7:13). With roughly a billion claiming to be Catholics around the world, many are already on that broad way.


';Come out of her (Catholicism) MY people so that you do not partake of her (the Vatican's) sins or receive her plagues'; (Revelation 18:4).
Here's some truth for you: Catholics claim you can and must earn your way into Heaven, which directly contradicts Scripture. Catholics pray to dead saints and to Mary, when the only example of prayer ever given by Jesus was to our Heavenly Father. Catholics happily pray the same thing over and over while clutching a string of beads, which also goes against Scripture. The Catholic church has added purgatory, holy water, rosaries, scapulars, crucifixes, and of course the veneration of Mary to Christianity even though not one bit of it is supported by a single word of the Bible.





I could go on like this for a while, but you get the idea. Catholics are to Christianity what the Pharisees were to Judaism.

Let's look at other things that have been around for at least as long and therefore may be just as worthy of your faith: Murder, prostitution, warfare, atheism, apathy, greed, and hunger. Sexual depravity, pride, bigotry, theft and rape make the list too. Every single thing on my list has been around since before the Catholic church, yet you venerate none of them.





My statements that I have made about Catholic teachings are correct and I stand by them. Do you teach salvation through works? Yes! Salvation isn't a guarantee for you, it's something that must be carefully and continually worked for, and the breaking of the OT laws can still get a person condemned and sent to Hell. This blatantly and bluntly contradicts the doctrine of grace as explained in Romans chapter 6. You can stay under the law if you want, and face condemnation for it, but I am a born again Christian, a new creature in Christ and no longer under the Law but instead under Grace. I will not and cannot lose the GIFT that has been given me because it isn't about the things I do. 1 Corinthians chapter 3 tells me that my works will stand trial to see what sort they are. If my works are unworthy, they shall be destroyed by fire and I shall suffer loss....yet I myself shall be saved! Yes, I will be saved not BY my works but in spite of them! Go find a priest that will tell you that simple truth of the Word of God.





What else among my ';lies'; would you like me to back up with Scripture?? I am happy to do it, for in doing so I magnify and glorify my Lord and Savior through the teaching of His word.

Peter never preached any such stuff as your church teaches, so Peter had no connection with you. Why do you have to bring up such lies, to try and make your false church seem true? You know you have not one word of Scripture to prove this babylon with. So you have to tell the world that it does not have to go by God's word...

God never held up any priest system after Malachi 2. Yet you all brought that horrible system right back up. God said we can all go to God for our own selves. Jesus told us ALL to study the Scripture. God said his anointing will teach us and we need not that man teach us...yet you catholics try to insult any who learn from God for ourselves.

Edit: If you think I am wrong, give SCRIPTURE for what you believe and teach. All you have is words of popes who have lived ungodly lives and it is history. My salvation is in the Book of Acts. No popes can go there. Neither can you. Your religion is strictly man-made, and everyone knows it.





Edit: You all need to learn that violence is not the way Jesus brings people to him. Teaching this world about this wicked, lying 'church' is not causing trouble. It is the only way to set men free..free from the lies about needing to say rosaries, confessing to carnal men, eating man-made bread to receive Jesus, and all such foolishness, is damning souls to hell. We try to free them by bringing out the truth. The world is full of records of the abuse and violence of this fake church. You do not have to take our word for this; just do some serious checking up.
