Anybody have some advice on sheriff's filing false charges?

i was arrested, put in jail in los angeles, with bogus charges. i won the case and the deputies didn't even show up to testify what i did according to them. i would like to sue the sheriff's department, but i cannot afford a lawyer. i have basically no money. i tried looking for a pro bono lawyer, but there is none. i tried the ACLU, but they turned me down. i decided to act pro per in the lawsuit and asked a paralegal to just fill out the paperwork, but he told me you wouldn't even make it to court, cause the city's attorney will say i'm incompetent, and demurrer my case. plus all the back and forth contesting of papers will end uop costing thousands. any advice on how to go forward? ....or maybe there is nothing i can do?Anybody have some advice on sheriff's filing false charges?
Call a lawyer referral service in your county. For a nominal fee they will provide you with a lawyer to talk to about your case. If it's worth anything, the lawyer will take your case on a contingency fee and charge you little to nothing. Likely suing in pro per would be a waste of your time and money.Anybody have some advice on sheriff's filing false charges?
You won the case... Why do you need an additional lawyer? If you think you are going to get reimbursed for something such as being falsely imprisoned, you're not going to be granted a settlement.

I would just forget about it.
