Wow, sounds like you have your plate full! In order for her to obtain a restraining order she is suppose to have some sort of proof. Maybe she convinced the judge that she was afraid of you. I'm not sure, but when you go to court, you will be able to give your side of the story. Be sure to tell them that you had no idea she had returned from her visit with her parents.

If they were going to arrest you, they would have already done it so don't worry about that. If it's all false then the judge will lift the orders. I don't know how or why she thinks she'll get a permanent card if you go to jail...doesn't make sense.

I think it's important for you to stress how surprised you are by all of this and you should mention that she wants a permanent green card but DON'T make a big deal out of it. Say it once and if the judge believes you, the judge will not forget it.

So stick to the facts and don't go off talking about your feelings, that's not what they want to hear. Give them the facts, that is what they work from, the facts. Be very professional, answer like it's a business question and try to be very strong. It's ok to show some concern but don't get too carried away with it or the judge won't listen to you.

If they are going to continue this case then you can ask for a Public Defender and that is an attorney assigned to you by the court so you can defend yourself properly without having to pay a big fee. They will charge you a small amount of money and you won't have to pay it until this is all over

Try to stay calm and if none of this is true it will all work out for the best. That's what your attorney will be for, to tell you what you need to do and how to do it. I know it's painful but try to be as strong as possible.

Good luck to you :-)Wife has put false charges to get green card by getting temporary restraning orders?
I must agree totally with the previous poster. This person is EVIL in nature. Try to keep that in mind....Move on with your life or do some research on your abililty to file a document called ';Petition to revoke Naturalization'; or ';The Marriage Fraud or Sham Act';1986.
