If you go to prison on false charges, then escape and evedince comes to light which proves you innocent?

Say, you are framed for murder. You get sent to prison for life but escape. Whiler you are on the run, new evidence is found which proves you innocent for the murder. So the charges are dropped for murder. But can you still be charged with escaping? Even you are innocent of murder? If you go to prison on false charges, then escape and evedince comes to light which proves you innocent?
Since escape is considered a crime, the person could be charged.

The most likely outcome would be that the offender would have his previous time in confinement count as punishment for the second charge and possibly have to pay a fine.If you go to prison on false charges, then escape and evedince comes to light which proves you innocent?
yes, you will still be charged with escaping prison,

innocent or guilt regarding the original sentence doesn't count but it will be reflected in the sentence if you were innocent and you are likely to get a conditional discharge.

Good luck with the Escape attempt :)
Yes because at the time you were a convicted murderer and escaped . What happens later did not change that. Odds are the charges would be dropped.
Yep, the charge would be escape. 3 years.

I doubt the jail staff would ever believe you were innocent, even if you were.
Yes. Escape is a separate crime for which you WILL be charged.
Though it's illegal, I doubt you'll be arrested for being in a jail you shouldn't have been in to begin with.
