Princess Elizabeth was a monarch because she was born a PRINCESS. Henry charged Anne with false charges because he wanted to marry someone else so he had to get her out of the way somehow. Once are born a monarch you are a monarch. Henry wanted to get rid of her to marry someone else because she gave him a daughter instead of a son, he called that treson, but it really wasn't her fault.
You should watch the Simpson's episode with Henry VIII. It's hilarious, and suprisingly accurate! At least as far as general story goes, obviously they threw in some differences for comedic purposes. ;-)
